The model building tools will directly support the import of CAD data in DXF format, in addition to standard GIS files. This allows engineers to use engineering drawings as a basis for constructing the network model, enabling them to trace layouts and accurately place nodes and pipes. This provides flexibility for users whose primary source data is in a CAD format.

This feature provides a visual way to manage data quality and reliability by allowing users to apply colored flags or indicators to specific data fields. A user can define what each color means—for instance, green for verified field data, yellow for estimated data, and red for data that needs review. These flags provide an immediate visual cue about the source and confidence level of the model's input data.

This tool helps maintain a clean and consistent naming convention for network elements. When creating new nodes, it can automatically assign IDs based on a predefined schema, such as a prefix followed by a sequential number (e.g., "J-101") or based on the node's XY coordinates. The feature also supports bulk renaming of existing elements to enforce a standard across the entire model.
