It would be nice to be able to edit the default element IDs. For example, when adding a tank, the user should be able to give it a more descriptive ID instead of "T2" or "R2".

To significantly streamline model updates, this feature enables the editing of attributes for multiple selected elements simultaneously. While multi-selection currently provides a read-only summary, this upgrade will transform the multi-selection properties panel into an active editor. Users will be able to enter a value once - such as a new pipe roughness or diameter - and have it instantly applied to every selected item, eliminating the need for repetitive, manual data entry.

This provides a comprehensive interface to define, manage, and assign pump performance curves within the application. Users can input head versus flow data to accurately represent the operational characteristics of each pump in the system. This is fundamental to simulating pump station performance, calculating energy usage, and ensuring the model reflects real-world pump capabilities.

To accelerate model setup and improve consistency, this tool will automatically assign pipe roughness coefficients based on user-defined rules. Users can create a table that maps specific roughness values (e.g., Hazen-Williams C-factor) to combinations of pipe material and installation year or age range. The system can then apply these values in bulk to the entire network, ensuring a standardized and defensible approach to assigning friction factors.

This feature allows users to define the specific geometry of a storage tank by creating a curve that relates the water level to the tank's volume or surface area. This is essential for accurately modeling tanks with complex shapes, such as elevated spheroid tanks or underground clearwells with variable cross-sections. By providing a precise level-to-volume relationship, tank curves ensure the model accurately simulates how storage facilities fill and drain over time.

This tool helps maintain a clean and consistent naming convention for network elements. When creating new nodes, it can automatically assign IDs based on a predefined schema, such as a prefix followed by a sequential number (e.g., "J-101") or based on the node's XY coordinates. The feature also supports bulk renaming of existing elements to enforce a standard across the entire model.

Users can extend the model's database by adding their own custom data fields to any element type. These user-defined attributes can be used to store and track supplementary information not included in the standard schema. This data can then be used for custom labeling, querying, and reporting, making the model a more comprehensive asset information hub.

Users can apply time-varying patterns to reservoir elements to simulate dynamic boundary conditions. This allows a reservoir's hydraulic head to fluctuate over time, representing the change in level of a connected system or a supply source with a known water level variation. This capability is essential for models where the source water level is not static.

This feature provides a visual way to manage data quality and reliability by allowing users to apply colored flags or indicators to specific data fields. A user can define what each color means—for instance, green for verified field data, yellow for estimated data, and red for data that needs review. These flags provide an immediate visual cue about the source and confidence level of the model's input data.

The data schema will natively include important asset management attributes for pipes, such as material and installation year. Capturing this information is crucial for long-term capital planning and rehabilitation studies. It enables powerful workflows, such as automatically assigning pipe roughness based on age and material, or identifying pipes that are due for replacement.
